Affiliate Program Rules

Rules and guidelines for affiliates.

Effective Date: February 4, 2026

This is the official rulebook for participating in the Scallably Affiliate Program. Your participation in our Program means you agree to these rules, so please read them carefully. These Rules are part of your legal agreement with us.

1. Code of Conduct

As a Scallably Affiliate, you must adhere to the following principles:

- Be Honest and Accurate: Never make false, misleading, or exaggerated claims about Scallably, our products, or what users can achieve.

- Add Value: Your content should be your own and provide genuine value to your audience.

- No Spam: You must not engage in any form of spamming. All communications must comply with applicable laws, including GDPR and the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

- Respect Intellectual Property: You may only use Scallably's trademarks and brand assets as we permit.

- No Self-Referrals: You cannot use your own affiliate link to purchase a Scallably subscription for yourself.

- Play Fair: Do not use cookie-stuffing, pop-ups, or other fraudulent techniques to generate commissions.

2. Disclosure Requirements (UK CAP Code & ASA Compliance)

Transparency is required by law. The UK's Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) Code, enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), requires you to disclose your relationship with Scallably clearly and conspicuously.

How to Disclose:

Your disclosure must be Clear and Conspicuous.

- Make it Clear: Use simple, unambiguous language. Good examples include: "(ad)", "#ad", "(advert)", "(advertisement)", "(paid partnership)".

- Make it Conspicuous: The disclosure must be easy to see and not hidden.

- Place it Properly: The disclosure should be placed as close as possible to the endorsement or affiliate link itself.

Examples by Platform:

- Blog Posts/Websites: Place the disclosure at the top of the post before the main content.

- Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.): Place the disclosure at the beginning of the caption, before any “read more” cut-off.

- Videos (YouTube, TikTok): The disclosure must be made both audibly in the video and visually in text superimposed on the video itself, near the beginning.

3. Marketing, Privacy, and Compliance

You are responsible for ensuring all your marketing activities comply with the law. All marketing emails and text messages you send must clearly identify you—not Scallably—as the sender.

- Email & SMS Marketing (PECR & GDPR): You must obtain prior express consent (opt-in) from a consumer before sending them any marketing emails or text messages. You must keep clear records of this consent.

- Data Privacy and Security: You must handle all personal information you collect in accordance with GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018. You must also maintain and publish your own privacy policy.

4. Prohibited Marketing Practices

- Brand Bidding: You may not bid on keywords containing "Scallably" or any of our trademarks in any search engine (e.g., Google, Bing).

- Misleading Ads: You may not run ads that are misleading or could be interpreted as being official Scallably advertisements.

- Coupon/Discount Sites: You may not promote Scallably on coupon or discount websites.

5. Complaint Handling

You must notify us within 24 hours if you receive any complaint related to your promotional activities. Send complaints to affiliates.

Failure to comply with these rules can result in significant fines and legal liability. We take this very seriously and will terminate any affiliate who violates these rules.
